Abstract

The purpose of this study is the development and implementation of evidence-based diagnostic measures to increase the frequency of vaginal delivery in women with prelabour rupture of the membranes at term with a singleton pregnancy without contraindications to vaginal delivery.

Main results

During the study, 52 pregnant women with the observable pathology underwent transperineal and transabdominal ultra- sound to determine the biophysical and anatomical parameters of the lower segment and cervix of uterus.

The puerperas were divided into 2 main groups: spontaneous labor and the induction of labor by Oxytocin.

The analysis of the results of sonographic study showed significant differences in the measurement of biophysical pa- rameters with transabdominal and transperineal ultrasound, and in determining the anatomical parameters with transperineal ultrasound (p <0.05).
